RISE AI Workshop: Bring Your Own Data

Half-Day Workshop: Developing Concepts and Experimental Scripts for Processing Participant-Provided (Raw) Data.

[Translate to English:] Bring your own data

In this half-day workshop, we will use concrete examples to demonstrate how AI tools can be used to process sources. Related topics such as data normalization, (automated) enrichment with metadata, and linking with authority data (GND, Geonames, etc.) will also be considered. The goal is to help participants develop a sense for AI-supported extraction and normalization processes using their own data and to identify workflow steps (as well as specific tools).

The course is aimed at researchers and students in the social sciences and humanities. The number of participants is limited to 8 people per session. Participants should bring their own project. Ideally, participants should have basic knowledge of Python. If needed, the course can be offered in English. Questions and contributions in English are, of course, always welcome regardless of the course language. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Register now.
