RISE Crash course TEI and scholarly editions

Two-hour crash course introducing the XML/TEI standard and more about scholarly digital editions.

RISE is offering two-hour sessions on 11.10.2024 and 06.12.2024 where we will

• provide a panorama of digital scholarly editions (critical, documentary, genetic), discussing best practices for transcription, mark-up, annotation, collation, visualization;
• introduce the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) Guidelines and its use for scholarly editing and manuscript description;
• answer your questions about digital scholarly editions.

The course can be followed by more in-depth training or workshops upon request. The courses will be held in English. The course on the two dates will be the same.
