RISE Crash course TEI and digital editions

Two-hour crash course introducing the XML/TEI standard and more about digital editions.

We will provide

• a panorama of digital scholarly editions (critical, documentary, etc.), discussing best practices for transcription, mark-up, annotation, collation, visualization
• introduce the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) Guidelines and its use for scholarly editing and manuscript description
• answer your questions about digital scholarly editions.

No previous knowledge is required. The course is offered in English, but questions and contributions in German are also welcome. The course can be followed by more in-depth training or workshops upon request.
