Linguistics and the Text Encoding Initiative

Two hours crash course on the TEI standard in the context of linguistics

The Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) offers an international standard for the markup of texts in XML. One of its fields of application is linguistics, in particular linguistic annotation, corpora and lexicography.
During the crash course, we will focus on the guidelines of the TEI for the encoding of texts in the context of linguistics, as well as on the software and platforms that support this standard.
No prior knowledge is required. The course will be held in English, but questions and remarks in German are welcome.
